Земни и небесни нови територии.
Touch-American-Ground е изложба за пътуването и пребиваването едновременно на "безкрайно" отдалечени места – на Земята и в космоса.
За случващата се космическа мисия, която Ивайло артистично претворява и за неговото скорошно творческо пътуване до другата страна на планетата.
Изложбата представя артистичните му опити на американска територия, вплетени с научни изследвания за произхода на благородните елементи, неутронни звезди и гравитационни вълни, близки и далечни пространства, и случващото ни се бъдеще сега – всичко това, през погледа и в контраст с извънредната 2020-та година.
Докосване.
Ивайло Христов работи с многопластови връзки и търси интересни философски смисли в творбите си.
В настоящата изложба провокира с игра на думи, като заимства името от кулминационната фаза TAG (Touch-And-Go) на 7-годишната мисия на НАСА до астероида Bennu и прехвърля космическия си разказ към невъзможното в момента докосване в ситуация на световна пандемия.
Астероид и Америка.
Ивайло развива работите си в контекста на исторически събития и съвременни космически изследвания, специално свързани с мястото му на пребиваване – Санта Круз, Калифорния, през есента на 2019, като участник в резидентската програма на CEC ArtsLink, NY.
Там създава нова си серия рисунки и светещи обекти, и записва поредица от интервюта, посветени на темата за космоса, пътя на човека и новите научни постижения.
Земни и небесни територии.
Ивайло Христов е последователен в търсенията си и „обича да открива нови артистични предизвикателства", както сам казва за работата си.
Стъпка по стъпка: През 2016 Ивайло печели наградата FutureFest Art Prize 2016: FutureWork в Лондон за един от своите светещи работни инструменти от серията Lighting Tools, с концепция за археология на бъдещето.
Същата работа изпраща на НАСА за #WeTheExpolorers в подготовка на настоящата мисия OSIRIS-REx до астероида Bennu, като включва още две знакови творби - един свой автопортрет с червено сияние, за който печели специалната наградата на СБХ от биенале на рисунката (2015 г.), и един светещ жив обект (растение Юка в RGB), показван на изложби във Варна и в Мексико.
За да отбележи старта на мисията през 2018 г., създава своя проект LIGHTFLIGHT (UniCredit Studio) със серия светещи обекти, живопис и въглеродни космически рисунки, а след това прави и следващата важна стъпка с участието си в селекцията на ArtsLink 2019.
По време на своя творчески престой в САЩ и въз основа на работата си в университета Санта Круз и Open Lab, Digital Art Research Center, UCSC, открива кратка изложба „Searching for gold high and low" – Open Studio. В нея прави препратка към златната треска в средата на 19 век (най-масовата миграция на хора в американската история до тогава) и космическата надпревара на технологичните центрове от Калифорния днес.
Като гостуващ художник презентира своята работа в Thimann Lecture Hall, към факултета за естествени науки на университета.
Една от творбите му от Калифорния е показана веднага след това на изложба в Ню Йорк, а други донася обратно със себе си.
В изложбата T.A.G. Ивайло ще ни разкаже за своите близки и далечни пътувания, за астероида и звездите. Ще видим негови нови серии рисунки, светещи обекти и живопис, както и видео, показано по време на пребиваването му в САЩ. Всичко това, подкрепено от серия текстове за пътя и бъдещето.
За автора.
Ивайло Христов открива своята девета самостоятелна изложба.
В биографията си има 22 национални и международни награди, не само за изкуство, но и за реклама и дизайн, участвал е в над 70 различни изложби.
Завършил е Живопис в Националната художествена академия, а първата си изложба показва в Националната художествена галерия през 2006 г.

Ground surface and Celestial New Territories
Touch-American-Ground is an exhibition for the travelling and stay at the same time in spaces extremely distant one from another – the Earth and the Outer Space.
It is about the space mission artistically reproduced by Ivaylo and his recent creative travelling to the other side of the planet.
The exhibition presents Ivaylo's artistic works in the USA intermixed with scientific research on the origin of the precious metals, neutron stars and gravitational waves, near and far spaces and the future that happens to us now and everything of these is presented in the light of and in contrast to the extraordinary 2020.
Touch
Ivaylo Hristov explores multilayer interconnections, striving to convey the philosophic meaning of his artworks.
This exhibition provokes interest by a wordplay embedded in its name borrowed from the culmination phase TAG (Touch-And-Go) of the 7-year NASA Mission to Bennu asteroid. It transfers its cosmic narrative to the current impossibility of realizing physical contact between people due to the global pandemic.
Asteroid and America
Ivaylo creates his artworks in the context of historical events and contemporary cosmic research especially such related to his place of residing – Santa Cruz, California in the autumn of 2019 as a participant in the CEC ArtsLink, NY residency programme.
There he created a new series of drawing and lighting objects dedicated to cosmic topics, human development and the new scientific achievements.
Ground surface and celestial territories
Ivaylo Hristov is consistent in his aspirations. "I love working on new artistic challenges", he said.
Step by step: In 2016 Ivaylo won the award FutureFest Art Prize 2016: FutureWork in London for one of his lighting tools of the Lighting Tools series, with a concept for archaeology of the future.
He sent the same work to NASA for #WeTheExplorers in preparation of the current mission OSIRIS-REx to Bennu asteroid, adding as well other two very representative of his artworks – a self-portrait with red glow which won him the special award of the Union of Bulgarian Artists in the 3rd National Biennial of Drawing (2015) and one illuminated living object (a Yukka plant in RGB), that was presented on exhibitions in Varna and Mexico.
To celebrate the start of the mission, in 2018 he launches his project LIGHTFLIGHT (UniCredit Studio) with a series of illuminated objects, paintings and carbonaceous cosmic drawings and after that he made another important step as an artist by his participation in the selection of ArtsLink 2019.
During his residence in the USA and based on his work in the University of Santa Cruz and Open Lab, Digital Art Research Center, UCSC, he opens the exhibition „Searching for gold high and low" – Open Studio. He refers to the California Gold Rush at the middle of the 19-th century (the largest mass migration in American history until then) and to the rapid development of the cosmic research by the technological centres in California nowadays.
As a guest artist, he presented his artworks in Thimann Lecture Hall, to the Division of Physical & Biological Sciences at the University.
One of his works created in California was presented immediately after that on an exhibition in New York. Other works he brought back to Bulgaria.
The T.A.G. exhibition tells us about the travels of Ivaylo near and far, about the asteroid and the stars. We will see his new series of drawings, lighting objects and painting, as well as a video that was shown during his stay in the USA. All of these are supported with references to the human way and future.
The author
Ivaylo Hristov opens his ninth solo exhibition. He has 22 national and international awards for art, advertising and design so far. He has more than 70 participations in artistic exhibitions.
He is a MA graduate of the National Academy of Arts, Sofia, Bulgaria. His first exhibition was presented in the National Art Gallery, Sofia in 2006.
