Eingeladen sind Filme, Videos, Performanceprojekte oder Arbeiten im Bereich Expanded Media. Bitte nutzen Sie für alle Einreichungen die Online-Formulare. Das EMAF zaehlt zu den bedeutendsten Foren der internationalen Medienkunst. Als Treffpunkt für Kuenstler, Kuratoren, Verleiher, Galeristen und Fachpublikum praegt es entscheidend die Thematik, Aesthetik und Zukunft der medialen Kunst. Das Festival bietet jaehrlich einen aktuellen und historischen Ueberblick mit Experimentalfilmen, Installationen, Performances, digitalen Formaten und hybriden Formen. Dabei reicht das inhaltliche Spektrum von persoenlichen und politischen Themen oder gestalterischen Experimenten bis zu provokanten Aussagen aus dem Spannungsfeld "Medienkunst - Gesellschaft". Das Festival versteht sich als Ort des Experiments und als Labor, in dem Ungewoehnliches, Versuche und Wagnisse entstehen und praesentiert werden. // AWARDS Auf dem Festival wird der ›EMAF-Award‹ für eine richtungsweisende Arbeit in der Medienkunst und der ›Dialogpreis‹ des Auswaertigen Amtes zur Foerderung des interkulturellen Austausches von einer internationalen Jury vergeben. Zudem verleiht die Jury des Bundesverbands der Filmjournalisten den Preis für den besten deutschen Experimentalfilm. // CINEMA Experimentelle Kurz- und Langfilme, Musikvideos, neue Formen der Narration und Dokumentation sowie Sonderprogramme und Retrospektiven. // EXHIBITION Das Festival praesentiert aktuelle Medien-Installationen vom 27. April bis 29. Mai 2011 in der Kunsthalle Dominikanerkirche und an anderen Orten Osnabruecks. In diesem Jahr werden Projekte der Europaeischen Netzwerke MOVING STORIES und TRANSIT - European Young Talents Forum sowie zum Festivalschwerpunkt JAPANESE ART NOW gezeigt. Daher ist eine freie Einreichung fuer das EMAF 2011 in diesem Bereich nicht moeglich. // EXPANDED MEDIA Projekte der medialen Aktion und Interaktionen sowie Performances, digitale Musik- und Soundprojekte sowie innovative Konzepte des Expanded Cinema. // MEDIA CAMPUS Die Kontakt- und Projektboerse für neue Projekte, Tendenzen und Konzepte aus den Medienuniversitäten, Kunstakademien und Designhochschulen Europas. // CONGRESS Diskussionen und Fragestellungen zu den aktuellen Themenbereichen des Festivals in Talks, Workshops, Kuenstlerpraesentationen und Panels. EMAF is one of the most influential forums of international Media Art. As a meeting point for artists, curators, distributors, galleries and an audience of experts the festival has a great impact on the topics and aesthetics of Media Art. Each year the festival offers its visitors a current overview of experimental films, installations, performances, digital formats and hybrid forms, ranging from personal and political subjects or formal experiments to provocative statements from the pulsating area of "Media Art - Society". The Festival sees itself as a place of experimentation and a laboratory where extraordinary works, experiments and ventures are created and presented. // AWARDS At the festival an international jury will present the >EMAF Award< for a trend-setting work in Media Art and the >Dialogpreis< of the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the promotion of intercultural exchange. Furthermore, the jury of the German Federal Association of Film Journalists will award the prize for the best German experimental film. // CINEMA Experimental shorts and feature films, music videos, new forms of narration and documentation as well as specials and retrospectives. // EXHIBITION From 27 April to 29 May 2011, the festival will present current media installations in the Kunsthalle Dominikanerkirche and other locations in Osnabrueck. This year, projects from the European networks MOVING STORIES and TRANSIT - European Young Talents Forum will be shown, in addition to the festival theme JAPANESE ART NOW.
